Plus-Sized Model Calls for Bigger Seats and Sparks a Heated Debate
Gracie Bon, a 27-year-old plus-sized model from Panama, has once again stirred up discussions about inclusivity in public spaces—this time at a theme park. Known for her unapologetically curvy figure and a massive social media following of over 9.6 million on Instagram, Bon isn’t shy about addressing the challenges her body type presents in a world not designed for all shapes and sizes.
This week, she took to TikTok to share her frustration with rollercoaster seats that she deemed too small for her. In the now-viral video, Bon attempted to test the ride’s seat, only to find it wasn’t accommodating. With a playful yet pointed shake of her head, she captioned the clip, “Please just make the seats bigger,” in both English and Spanish.
The video quickly divided viewers. While some empathized, commenting, “It’s 2024; we come in all sizes!“, others weren’t as kind. Responses like “The world doesn’t revolve around you” and “Entitlement at its finest” flooded the comments.
